Busy as usual…

I trimmed Trigger today along with Jezz and was able to work on his case study. I have updated it on his webpage.

I also have been busy training a horse named Stetson who is owned by Brew’s owner, Lisa. He is in his third week of training and that is all going well. He is five and developed a bucking problem about six months after he was initially broke as a two-year old. We hauled him back to our place and have been working on getting him back into thinking riding might just be a cool thing to do. I add something new for him every day. Today ws the big blue tarp…and he did well with that. I think another week and I’ll have Scott throw a leg over him. This Wednesday I get his wolf teeth extracted along with a good floating. I think that will improve how well his training goes once that is done.

Then I’ve been just plain busy with trims. Every day I trim horses in the morning and then again in the evening when Scott gets home. I have been trying to keep my weekends open to stay home with the family but we had a bunch of rain so I was having to keep up with postponed appointments and had to put them on the weekends. I have been trimming about 30 horses a week. That’s a lot and I really really appreciate my friend Cindy who gives me massage several times a month. She is a God-send.

Then I also have five boarders who keep a total of ten more horses with me. So that has me up to 19 horses. Its a lot! I enjoy spending time with everyone when they come out and I have been riding a lot more since I no longer have the excuse that I don’t ride alone!

So I will try to be better about keeping up with my board. I have four or five other case studies to get caught up on so be patient…I’m working on them! :)
